Festival Life: Another One in the Books

Festival Life: Another One in the Books 🦊⚔️🧡

And just like that…

Another festival is officially in the books!

I didn’t take nearly as many pictures this weekend as I normally do, but that’s because I spent most of my time working the merch booth.

And honestly?

That’s okay.

Not every memory needs a hundred pictures attached to it. Sometimes you’re too busy actually living the weekend to document every minute of it.

This was a nice one.

The heat was actually tolerable—which, after some of the temperatures we’ve dealt with on this tour, felt like a gift from the festival gods. 😂

The weekend went well, we met some great people and, naturally…

Walter added a few more hearts to his little black book. 🤣🧡

This child.

Everywhere we go, he manages to collect another group of people who fall completely in love with him.

At this rate, we’re going to have to start keeping records.

The really exciting part is that they want us back next year!

If everything works out, we may just make that happen.

It’s kind of wild thinking about places we’ve visited for the first time this year possibly becoming places we return to next year. That’s one of the coolest parts of this whole adventure—watching new places and new people slowly become part of our story.

But for now…

We’re back on the road. 🛣️

We’re currently making our way toward Las Vegas, where we’ll stop for the night before continuing east.

And since we’ll be passing through the area, we’re thinking about making a stop at the Hoover Dam before heading toward Colorado.

Because apparently simply driving from Point A to Point B isn’t really how Foxfire & Freeways operates anymore. 😂

After that, we’re headed to Colorado for another show, and then we have to make our way north to Montana.

And here’s the part that almost doesn’t feel real yet:

Four more weeks.

That’s it.

Four more weeks of campgrounds.

Four more weeks of hitching and unhitching.

Four more weeks of festivals, shows, highways, gas stations, camper life and waking up somewhere different.

Then…

home. 🧡

As much as I’ve loved this adventure and everything we’ve experienced along the way, I’m definitely starting to feel that pull toward our own driveway.

My chickens.

My kitchen.

Our house.

And probably about a million things waiting for us when we get there. 😂

We’re not done yet, though.

There are still a few more miles to chase and a few more stories to collect before we finally point this rig toward Ohio.

But the countdown has officially begun.

Four weeks until home. 🦊🧡

Until the next mile, keep the fire lit and the road calling. 🔥🛣️

He was playing with my phone yesterday so he took all of these lol
