Road Notes — Indiana Bound
We officially hit the road for Indiana today after deciding not to leave yesterday like originally planned.
Turns out the drive was only around six hours, which honestly felt almost suspicious after some of the travel stretches we’ve been doing lately 😅
So instead of rushing, we’ve been taking our time and easing into the trip as we make our way toward the fairgrounds for two weekends of festival fun.
This trip is also a pretty big milestone for Sunna—her first road trip without needing to stay in a kennel the whole time.
And honestly? She’s doing incredibly well.
She’s getting smarter every single day, picking up on training quickly, and settling into road life better than we expected.
Meanwhile, lil man is also becoming way too smart for his own good. We are so close to walking now that I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if he’s fully walking by his first birthday in July.
Which is honestly wild to think about.
We’ve even been tossing around the idea of doing a birthday road trip so family can celebrate with us before we eventually make our way toward Montana in August.
And somewhere in the middle of all this movement, another big piece of life is finally starting to settle too.
The house is getting close to officially being ours completely, which means we can finally start unpacking properly, making small repairs, and hopefully bringing a little more order to all this chaos.
As much as I love the road, I think we’re all looking forward to having a steadier place to land between adventures.
For now though…
Indiana first.
Until the next mile, keep the fire lit and the road calling.
