Roadside Notes — Chicago Stopover

A later start this morning turned today into more of a slow travel day, so we decided to stop in Chicago for the night before making the final stretch home to Ohio.

Sometimes the road has its own pace, and today definitely felt like one of those days where it was better to just go with it instead of trying to force the schedule.

Tomorrow morning we’re planning to make a stop at Navy Pier before heading out again. It’ll be nice to stretch our legs a bit, take in the lakefront, and enjoy a small adventure before getting back on the road.

After so much driving lately, little pauses like this have started becoming some of my favorite parts of the trip.

For now though, we’re settling in for the night and getting some rest before another travel day tomorrow.

Chicago tonight… Ohio next.
