Foxfire & Freeways: Sunshine & Slow Days
Today was one of those days I didn’t realize I needed.
We spent most of it outside, just sitting on a blanket, soaking up the warm sunshine and enjoying a cool breeze. No rushing. No driving. No packing. Just… sitting still for once.
And honestly? I don’t get that very often.
Lil man hung out with me most of the day, taking in everything around him—and at one point, apparently deciding he needed to personally inspect the camera up close.
We may have gotten a little sunburnt in the process… but that’s just part of having fair skin and red hair 🤣
Later on, we headed over to my parents’ place for the usual reset—laundry, showers, and a good home-cooked dinner.
The kind of simple things that feel a little extra special after being on the road for so long.
Now lil man is down for the night, and we’re getting ready for a busy day tomorrow with a BBQ at my parents.
It’s funny how something as simple as sitting outside all day can feel like exactly what you needed.
Just a slow day… before life picks back up again.
