Foxfire & Freeways: First Mishap

What is an adventure without any mishaps?

Apparently… not ours 😅

Somewhere between stops, snacks, and trying to keep everything moving smoothly, I managed to accidentally flush the truck keys at a gas station.

Yeah. That actually happened.

There was a solid moment of just standing there like…
“did that really just happen?”

Because of course it did.

Luckily, I knew we had a spare.

Unluckily… it was packed.

So that turned into unloading part of the rental, digging through boxes, and trying to remember where exactly we put them while standing in a gas station parking lot.

Not exactly how I pictured things going.

But we found them.

A little delay, a little chaos, a few “you’ve got to be kidding me” moments… but in the end, it was fine.

And honestly, I feel like this is just the beginning of the kind of stories we’re going to collect along the way.

Meanwhile, little man has been an absolute champ through all of it.

He slept pretty much the whole time like none of this was even happening.

Meanwhile I’m over here accidentally flushing keys and unpacking a truck in public 😅

So yeah… first mishap officially checked off the list.

We’re off to a strong start.

Let’s see what else this adventure has in store.
