Welcome to the part of life where we said, “yeah, let’s just go for it” and then actually did.
We’ve got a kid, a whole lot of miles ahead of us, music to chase, festivals to hit, and just enough planning to keep things from completely falling apart (hopefully).
This is going to be part travel, part mom-life, part “where are we even at right now,” and part making memories in the middle of all the chaos.
We’re not doing perfect over here—we’re doing real, a little wild, and figuring it out as we go, and not the picture-perfect version either.
I’m talking snacks in random places, double-checking if we forgot something (we probably did), figuring things out in real time, and learning how to balance family life with miles, music, and whatever comes next.
Did I mention that there’s a kid in the mix? which means this whole thing comes with extra chaos, extra laughs, and a lot of “well… this should be interesting.”
We’ll be hitting different states, festivals, chasing opportunities, and maybe even going out of the country at some point—which still feels a little unreal to say out loud.
But this isn’t just about the big moments.
It’s about the in-between stuff:
The long drives.
The tired mornings.
The random stops that turn into good memories.
The “are we really doing this?” moments that somehow turn into “I’m really glad we did.”
This blog (and the page) is where all of that’s going to live.
Not just the highlight reel—but the real version. The messy, funny, sometimes stressful, sometimes magical version.
We don’t have everything figured out.
But we’re going anyway.
So yeah… this is Foxfire & Freeways.
So if you’re into messy, meaningful, slightly unhinged adventures…you’ll probably fit right in.
Buckle up, sit back and enjoy the scenery
